At the 32nd Annual Meeting of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), TWG President & CEO Rosa Whitaker joined a distinguished panel of African leaders and experts for the session “Three Decades of Powering Africa’s Resilience and Transformation: What Does the Afreximbank Experiment Teach Us?”

Panelists included Hon. Patrick Chinamasa, former Minister of Finance of Zimbabwe; Professor Bart Nnaji, CEO of Geometric Power and Nigeria’s former Minister of Power; Mr. Aliyu Ahmed, former Permanent Secretary of Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Finance; Mr. Kee Chong Li, Director at Value Partners Asia Hedge Funds and a Board Member of Afreximbank; Rosa Whitaker, President and CEO of The Whitaker Group; and moderator Lerato Mbele, a leading journalist on African economic affairs.

In her remarks, Rosa Whitaker described Afreximbank as “an engine of African resilience,” and introduced the AfriCatalyst Model—a framework that integrates trade, infrastructure, finance, policy, technology, and diaspora engagement to accelerate the transformation of Global Africa.

Rosa Whitaker also paid tribute to Prof. Benedict Oramah, describing him as “the architect of modern economic Pan-Africanism” whose leadership has turned vision into resilience and empowered a generation of African institutions to lead with clarity and confidence.
